Internship Title:       Editorial Internship

A well-established International Media Group with 14 offices and branches throughout Asia, aiming to help their clients to reach out to the most affluent and influential social group in China and beyond. The group has produced and published series of magazines with high quality and large circulation.

 

Length:                     1-6 months

                                                                    

Monthly Stipend:       Depending on the internship length

 

Start Time:                January 2013 onwards

 

Location:                  Shanghai, China 

Internship Responsibilities:

 

This Editorial Internship allows the interns to experience and explore the magazine production, publishing and distribution business at a Shanghai-based office with an international media group headquartered in Hong Kong. The intern will work with guidance from supervisor. Key responsibilities for this position include:

 

1.  Assist staff in proofreading and editing

2.  Research and gather information

3.  Write for magazines if capable

4.  Light administrative tasks such as orchestrating in-house English training

     sessions

5.  Perform related duties as required

 

Essential Requirements

1.  In the process of obtaining or already holding a Bachelor and/or

     Masters degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or      

     Liberal Arts

2.  Good editing, proofreading and writing skills

3.  Excellent English language and communication skills

4.  Attention to details

5.  Self-starter who can take directions and contribute ideas

6.  Competent user in Microsoft Office incl. Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word

     and Powerpoint.
